Howard Jarvis Taxpayers' Association Endorses Donna Courtright for Assembly District 24

Jan 14, 2000 - The association bearing the name of legendary taxpayer revolutionary Howard Jarvis has endorsed Donna Courtright for State Assembly District 24.  The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers' Association is "dedicated to protecting Proposition 13 and promoting taxpayer's rights".  You can get more information at their website, www.hjta.org

The Jarvis Association's current battle is to defeat Proposition 26 on the upcoming ballot, that would weaken taxpayers' protection (home owners especially) from increased taxation.  Donna supports their effort and suggests that everyone learn more at the website SaveOurHomes.com.

Los Gatos Association of Republican Women Holds Candidate Forum

Jan 11, 2000 - The Association of Republican Women in Los Gates held a forum for the republican candidates for State Assembly District 24.  All of the candidates were invited to speak to the membership.  Donna Courtright and Sue Jackson were in attendance.  Steve Blanton was unable to attend.

Dec ??, 1999 - A fundraising event for the Donna Courtright for State Assembly campaign was held at the home of Ms. Barbara Wales in Los Gatos.  Ms. Courtright used the successful event to discuss her positions and here input from her supporters.  Ms. Wales is a member of the Association of Republican Women in Los Gatos, where Ms. Courtright is the Vice President.

Donna Courtright Registers to Run for State Assembly District 24

Dec 10, 1999 - Donna Courtright, the fiesty Los Gatos self-proclaimed "soccer mom" filed registration papers for the State Assembly race in district 24.    Ms. Courtright is the president of the Silicon Valley Taxpayers Association (formerly the Santa Clara County Taxpayers Association), a tax abuse watchdog organization.  She also serves as the Vice President of the Los Gatos Association of Republican Women and Vice President for Fundraising for the Los Gatos Art Docents Organization, a volunteer service organization dedicated to increasing education of the arts to schoolchildren.
